Congratulations to Sarah Placella (postdoc in Jay Lennon's lab) on the publication of a paper from her PhD work in PNAS . The paper describes the results of research she did in collaboration with Mary Firestone (UC Berkeley) and Eion Brodie (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory) on the impact of microbial resuscitation on soil CO2 pulses following wetting of dry soils in arid and semi-arid ecosystems.
