|Dr. Bruno Basso's Research on the Ogallala Aquifer Featured in Earth's Future|
Dr. Bruno Basso, Associate Professor at KBS and MSU's Department of Geological Sciences, is a co-author of an article published in Earth's Future, a journal of the American Geophysical Union.
Dr. Basso, along with Dr. Anthony Kendall and Dr. David Hyndman from the Dept. of Geological Sciences, has been researching the Ogallala Aquifer to find ways to halt the rate of water drawdown. The aquifer's water is used by farmers in the region to hydrate their crops, but current usage runs the risk of causing significant portions of the aquifer to dry up.
