Birds, Bees, and Butterflies!
Bird Sanctuary's Stepping Stone Project
The Kellogg Bird Sanctuary is in the process of renovating its butterfly garden into a pollinator garden. The diversity that once existed in the garden has been lost. We are busy adding native plants to re-establish the diversity that will support a variety of pollinators, including butterflies, native bees, hummingbirds and more!
Although we have made great progress, there is still much to do, and we could use your help.
Purchase a Stepping Stone for the Garden
You can help us with the garden project by purchasing a stepping stone. Stepping stones are available in three sizes:
- 6-inch stone $40
- 10-inch stone $60
- 12-inch stone $80
When you purchase a stone, you will be invited to a special event at the sanctuary to create and personalize a stepping stone that will be put in the pollinator garden.
Purchasing a Stepping Stone is a great way to add a little of your personal style to our garden while showing support for the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary.
Your contribution will help with
- purchasing plants for the garden
- creating plant labels and signs
- educational programming
- continued maintenance of the garden.
To purchase a stone, use the donation form in the Stepping Stone Project brochure (.pdf), call us at (269) 671-2510 or e-mail.
Contact us also if you would like to volunteer in the garden or have native plants that you would like to donate to the garden.
Inch by inch, and stone by stone,
you can help our garden grow!
