W. K. Kellogg believed helping people help themselves through education was making an investment in the future. He understood the importance of protecting the land and conserving resources. These values initiated a tradition that is the foundation of the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station (KBS). The Kellogg Legacy of stewardship lives on in the bird sanctuary, the farm, the manor house and the education center. KBS is a place for understanding the relationship between people and the environment in which they live. With your help, we can maintain and grow the institutions that W. K. Kellogg worked to create into the future. Your donation can support a child's outdoor knowledge, fund community-wide events so they can be affordable to all, maintain our facilities to allow visitors to keep returning, ensure public education on important environmental topics, fund nature courses for all ages, or support your specific area of interest. Special Interest Areas for Giving:
Scholarships and Fellowships: Scholarships and fellowships enable promising young scientists to spend the summer in residence at the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station (KBS) by offsetting the expense of staying at a field station. This support is critical to providing access to unique, hands-on educational and research experiences to students that might not be able to come otherwise. We are fortunate to have endowed scholarships and fellowships to support KBS students. Your contributions to these funds allow us to provide support to future students.
How to Give: You may also make a check or money order payable to Michigan State University and send to: Community Relations Office or call (269) 671-2263 to make your donation over the phone. Thank you for your support. |
