Nov. 29 and Dec. 5 | Autumn Craft Classes with the Manor House

Learn new crafting skills and enjoy the fruits of your efforts through an upcoming make-and-take event offered at the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station.

  • Time and date: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, and Tuesday, Dec. 5
  • Location: KBS Carriage House classroom
  • Audience: Adults
  • Fee: Dependent on class

Classes are led by Sherri Snyder, local artist and owner of Green Goddess Farms, and will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the KBS Carriage House’s classroom. Supplies will be provided. To register and reserve your spot, call (269) 671-2160 or write to conference@kbs.msu.edu.

Workshops

Wednesday, Nov. 29 — In the Whoville Evergreen Arrangement class, you’ll create a whimsical, Dr. Seuss-style container arrangement using fresh greens and accessories that can be displayed indoors or outside. No experience is necessary; and bringing garden gloves and pruners is helpful but not required. The cost is $45 for Manor House members, and $50 for non-members.

An evergreen porch arrangement features a bow and a pair of vintage ice skates mounted on a wooden sled.Tuesday, Dec. 5 — In the Evergreen Swag class, you’ll create an evergreen swag piece perfect for adorning your front door, a mantle piece or a vintage sled. The scent of fresh evergreens will get you in the mood for the season ahead. No experience is necessary; and bringing garden gloves and pruners is helpful but not required. The cost is $36 for Manor House members, and $40 for non-members.
