- Part-time Communication & Marketing Assistant: Assist Community Relations staff with external communication projects and marketing of KBS events.
Compose and distribute monthly electronic newsletters. Post KBS events on KBS website and external event websites. Design and print KBS event brochures. Coordinate brochure distribution throughout the community. Compose and distribute press releases using editorial calendar. Post and monitor KBS social media channels.

- Full-time Communication & Marketing Assistant. Apply online at jobs.msu.edu under "Support Staff", posting # 1340. Works with KBS Director, Development & Community Relations Coordinator and Outreach team to create effective communication/marketing tools and materials to promote educational and outreach programs and events, and fundraising campaigns; researches materials, conducts interviews, and collects information in order to compose articles, press releases, promotional pieces, social media posts, newsletters, and annual reports; composes, edits, and produces print, audio and video materials for advertising to promote KBS; plans advertising strategies, using surveys and evaluations to ensure maximum exposure and impact on the public; assists in developing content and layout for promotional materials; edits drafts and information to check for content, readability, and style; monitors social media and engages social media audience; monitors various publications and electronic sources for potential relevance to KBS activities; assists in Web page design, maintenance, and content management; maintains photo gallery for communication and marketing use; assists KBS Development & Community Relations Coordinator in managing the KBS Communication budget and forecast needs to maintain inventory levels.
- Maintenance Worker Level II, apply online at jobs.msu.edu: Perform preventive maintenance, routine repairs and general improvements to laboratory, agricultural, educational and residential facilities. Specific skills and knowledge needed in Carpentry and HVAC systems and general experience with electrical and piping systems and commercial grade mechanical equipment. Requires knowledge acquired through at least 2 years of technical training in preventive maintenance or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience maintaining technical facilities.
