The purpose of these signs is to enhance visitor experience by teaching them about habitat, invasive species, and the many different birds that rely upon the Sanctuary for their survival. The next step is the fabrication and installation of the signs. This includes the construction of weather resistant signs, post systems, hardware and actual installation. Our goal is to have the signs placed along the trail this spring. With the help of people like you and other Sanctuary supporters we can reach our fundraising goal of $16,000 to have these signs ready to welcome spring field trip students, summer day campers and you! Continuing with our mission staff has begun a project to develop outdoor educational and interpretive signs to be placed along the Sanctuary's 3/4 mile visitor trail. The signs have been designed, including original artwork from Kalamazoo artist, Amelia Hansen.
