Reading on the trails is back at the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, with new storylines for July and August. Together with the Richland Community Library, the Sanctuary will have new themes and activities for storybook walks this summer.
The basics
- Dates: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday during July and August
- Location: W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, 12685 E. C Ave., Augusta, MI
- Audience: Families, younger children
- Fee: Regular admission: $5 for adults, $4 seniors and students, $3 children ages 2-17. All Sanctuary members and children under 2 years old admitted for free.
About
Pages from a storybook will be posted along the Sanctuary’s paved path for families to read as they walk. There also will be self-guided activities that complement the story’s themes and a reading list at the Richland Community Library to learn even more and practice reading skills.
The stories and activities are updated each month and are open to all during normal operating hours with the cost of admission (free to members).
Stories
