Making a difference behind the scenes: Sarah Reimer named KBS Employee of the Year

12.21.23 KBS News

Sarah Reimer, KBS office supervisor, has been named the KBS Support Staff Employee of the Year.

Head shot portrait of Sarah Reimer. The award was announced at an annual fall gathering of KBS faculty, staff and students on Friday, Oct. 27.

Sarah Reimer

Sarah came to KBS in 2014, beginning as a part-time office assistant at the Bird Sanctuary. She moved to the KBS administrative office in 2016, initially as an administrative assistant. Over the past six years, she has transitioned to full-time and taken on increasingly more responsibility and work as KBS has grown and changed. When the COVID-19 pandemic presented unique challenges, Sarah met them in stressful circumstances. Sarah’s work is widespread, reaching every single faculty, staff member and student at KBS.

Accolades

Comments made in support of her nomination illustrate some of the ways in which Sarah helps to keep KBS humming.

  • “There are so many behind-the-scenes activities that Sarah completes just to make our lives easier.”
  • “She has a great attitude, is highly knowledgeable and competent, works toward inclusivity and community at KBS, and attends to things in a timely manner.”
  • “Sarah Reimer does so much for KBS, we’d all be lost without her!”

Please join us in congratulating Sarah Reimer!
