Calling all undergraduate students looking for an unforgettable summer experience—applications are now open for W.K. Kellogg Biological Station’s 2024 summer programs.
A KBS summer
KBS hosts students each summer for a pair of research experience programs: Research Experiences for Undergraduates, or REU; and Undergraduate Research Apprenticeships, or URA. There also are several internship opportunities.
KBS summer students have the opportunity to gain a wide variety of internship or field and lab research experiences, new friendships, and professional references in a residential setting at a world-renowned biological station on the shores of beautiful Gull Lake. All undergraduate researchers and interns also take 1-2 summer courses, which are offered online or on-site at KBS.
The summer 2025 program will run from May 18 through July 26. Applications close Thursday, Feb. 1, and all applications will be notified of final decisions by Friday, March 1.
