 world of freshwater plants!\n\nJoin us at the Kellogg Biological Station (
 KBS) for a two-day workshop covering Michigan’s aquatic plants\, focusin
 g on plant morphology\, identification\, and field-based species identific
 ation. This immersive workshop runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and 
 combines fieldwork\, lab sessions\, and expert instruction.\nAbout the wor
 kshop:\nMichigan’s inland lakes host a wide variety of native and invasi
 ve aquatic plants. Accurate identification is essential for conservation p
 rofessionals\, resource managers\, and anyone working with aquatic ecosyst
 ems.\n\nThis workshop is led by Erick Elgin\, MSU Extension\, Dr. Jo Latim
 ore\, and Dr. Jeremy Hartsock\, MSU Dept. of Fisheries and Wildlife.\nWork
 shop Focus:\n\n 	Identification of submerged and emergent plants in the li
 ttoral zone (shallow water)\n 	Hands-on exploration of lake and pond speci
 es\n 	Species-level determination using lab and field specimens\n 	Field v
 isits to sites in the greater Kalamazoo and Barry County area\n 	Laborator
