July 1: Birdy Bites & Beak Types- learn how beaks shape a bird’s diet
Ever wonder why the beak from one type of bird looks so different from the beak of another? Can a hummingbird eat a mouse? No way! And a hawk couldn’t sip nectar from a flower with its large beak. Join us to learn about different birds and how they have adapted their bills to help them eat certain things—like tearing meat, cracking nuts, or slurping nectar.
Students also learn how birds live in places that fit their needs for food, water, shelter, and raising babies.
