Dessert with Discussion May 2016

Dessert with Discussion May 2016

As a follow up to the energy generated at the May, Dessert with Discussion presented by Dr. Jeff Andresen please join us for Climate Change Conversations with KBS scientists on how climate change is affecting our environment and what we can do about it.  Drs. Steve Hamilton and Phil Robertson will be presenting and answering questions related to aquatic ecology and sustainable agriculture.  If there are other topics based on your questions on this registration form, we will recruit scientists with the right expertise to help answer questions.

During the program, each scientist will briefly share about their research.  They will share the current situation, what climate predictions tell us about the future and recommendations for what we can do about it.  You will be seated at a table that will allow you to discuss what has been presented and ask more questions or suggest topics for broader discussion.  The evening will be interactive and hopefully informative!

Anyone is welcome to participate, but we hope that people who attended Dessert with Discussion and had unanswered questions will return.

This program is free, but you must register in order to participate.  Register online here.

On the registration form you will have a space to write in any climate change questions you have. We will share these questions with our scientists.  We will organize the evening to answer some of the submitted questions and allow for small table discussions to generate more.

If you are curious about climate change research at KBS, check out this overview.  We also have bulletins on climate change research available on the Long Term Ecological Research website.
