We have decided to change the documentary for our discussion to Unbroken Ground | A New Old Way to Grow Food, which focuses on transformative change in agriculture. A 22 minute documentary produced with support from Patagonia and available free of charge.
Join us on Zoom for a sneak peek of the documentary “Generation Green New Deal,” a film about the historic youth-led movement to stop the climate crisis and transform America. The screening features a shortened version of the film, which will be released later this year. The documentary will be followed by a broad discussion about transformative change, moderated by Ava Garrison and Lindsey Kemmerling of Kellogg Biological Station and Fahimeh Baziari of Kalamazoo Nature Center’s Heronwood Field Station. The discussion will be an open space for sharing ideas with facilitated questions. This event will occur as a Zoom meeting, and is aimed at young activists and others interested in engaging with their peers around this topic.
The program, of many virtual events planned as part of the Kalamazoo Earth Week Celebration, is designed for teenagers and young adults interested in climate activism, but is open to all!
