KBS volunteers are invited for a special wildflower walk at Kalamazoo Nature Center!  As a way to celebrate spring and improve our naturalist skills, please join Kara Haas (KBS Science Education and Outreach Coordinator and wildflower enthusiast) for a guided walk along a 1-2 mile trail (expect hills and uneven terrain). We’ll learn about the ecology and special adaptations of spring wildflowers, hopefully we’ll have good looks at spring beauty, blue-eyed Mary, may apple, trout lily, Dutchmen’s breeches, trillium and more. KNC is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. so feel free to stay after the hike to explore.  Please dress for the weather, bring water and wear comfortable shoes.

This program is open to new and returning KBS volunteers.  Pre-registration is required.  There is no fee for this program.

Carpool!  Anyone interested in carpooling from KBS or the Richland Hardings?  if so, indicate on your registration and I’ll send an email to those intersted so you can organize a carpool.
