Visit the KBS Long-term Ecological Research fields to observe butterflies in flight, and if we can catch some, in the hand! Learn about the new experimental design that has added native prairie strips to agricultural fields. Will we see an increase in butterflies there?  Your guide will be Dr. Nick Haddad, author of The Last Butterflies and MSU Professor at Kellogg Biological Station.

This program is FREE and supported as part of the Dessert with Discussion program at Kellogg Biological Station.  Save the date for our fall Dessert with Discussion event, Oct. 24, Dr. Adam Ingrao ‘Heroes to Hives‘.

Registration required by September 2, 2019.

Program location: Long-term Ecological Research Program site: 10378 40th Street (across from the KBS Farm Office), Hickory Corners, MI 49060
