Teachers and informal educators of K-12 students are invited to engage in science teaching professional development this autumn at the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station.

About
The KBS K-12 Partnership Fall Workshop is set for 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26. The theme is “Restoring Healthy Communities,” and will feature keynote speaker Lars Brudvig, associate professor of plant biology at Michigan State University. The day will start with a lecture from Dr. Brudvig, followed by three sets of interactive, experiential concurrent sessions presented by educators and scientists. There also will be allotted time for lunch, snacks, networking and reflection.
There also an online option from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., which includes the opening lecture only.
Each program is free and includes a participant stipend, continuing education hours and materials for bringing lessons and content to students.
