KBS LTER to support annual Underground Innovations event

12.22.25 KBS News

The W.K. Kellogg Biological Station Long-Term Ecological Research program, or LTER, is supporting an upcoming meeting for farmers, and other agricultural and environmental professionals.

The 8th annual Underground Innovations winter meeting, presented by Michigan Agriculture Advancement , is set for Feb. 4-5, 2026, in Frankenmuth, Michigan.

Flyer for the 8th annual Underground Innovations meeting, including a description and date of the meeting, a photo of the keynote speaker, and logos of supporting organizations.

Participants will have the opportunity to network with producers, farmer advisors, and professionals from agencies, non-profits, and businesses from across Michigan and beyond to help take ideas home to implement on their operations and in their communities.

In addition to keynote speaker Leon Klopfenstein, the scheduled includes a lineup of speakers ready to share their experiences with a wide range of topics such as row crops, nutrient management, post-harvest handling, dairy & beef operations, and specialty markets.

Admission to the two-day event is $50, and registration is open.
