Bird Sanctuary Volunteer Training: Sanctuary History

There’s a volunteer role for everyone at the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary. This upcoming, online training is the first in a four-part series for adults interested in learning more about volunteering at the Sanctuary.

  • The first training focuses on the history of the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary and will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19. Free; registration required.Designed as a broad introduction, the presentation will explore the Sanctuary’s rich history of bird conservation.

Details of the second, third and fourth trainings are listed below. All sessions meet online from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

  • Thursday, Jan. 26: Birding 101
  • Thursday, Feb. 2: The world of raptors
  • Thursday, Feb. 9: Waterfowl and gamebirds exhibit areas
