Have you ever wondered which wild plants might be safe to eat? Join Dr. Danielle Zoellner of Idle Awhile Farm and Forage Saturday, June 4, for a hike and workshop on wild edible plants.
The basics
- Date: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 4
- Audience: Adults
- Fee: $30/Sanctuary members, $40/non-members
The event will begin at 10 a.m. and run for about two hours. Dr. Zoellner will guide participants on a walk along the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary’s Lake Loop Trail to learn more about some edible plants commonly found in backyards.
There also is an online learning component, including pre-class readings. Informational materials are included, and a wild edible snack will be provided.
Registration
The cost of the workshop is $30 for Sanctuary members, or $40 for non-members. Register at bit.ly/kbs-wild-edibles2022 by Friday, May 27.
