Share your latest bird sightings and learn more about some of the bird species commonly spotted at this time of year in southwest Michigan during monthly Birds and Coffee chats, offered by the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary. All events begin at 10 a.m. on Zoom.
About
The April chat, on Wednesday, April 13, will feature swallows, including the Tree, Barn Cliff and Bank swallows as well as the Purple Martin.
The May chat, set for Wednesday, May 11, will look at warblers, including the American Redstart, Common Yellowthroat, and Pine, Hooded, and Yellow-rumped warblers
The June chat will take place Wednesday, June 8. In this chat, we’ll study cardinals and ally birds, including the Scarlet Tanager, Northern Cardinal, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting, and Dickcissel.
Registration
Birds and Coffee chats are free and open to the public, but donations are welcome, and registration is required to access information on how to join the events.
