About
The Sanctuary’s popular Birds and Coffee Walk series will continue to be offered in an online format. The next chat, on Wednesday, Oct. 12, will feature W.K. Kellogg Biological Station educators Lisa Duke and Misty Klotz, who will focus their talk on blackbirds; specifically, the Bobolink, Eastern Meadowlark, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle and Cowbird.
The November chat, set for Wednesday, Nov. 9, will look at swans, including Mute, Trumpeter, and Tundra swans.
The December chat will take place Wednesday, Dec. 14. Michigan State University Extension educator Elliot Nelson will join us for the last chat of 2022 to talk about some of the sightings throughout the year of birds that are rare to Michigan.
Birds and Coffee chats are free and open to the public, but registration is required to access information on how to join the events.
