Saturday, Jan. 20 | Rubber Ducky Carnival at the Sanctuary

Geese, swans and ducks stand on a frozen section of Wintergreen Lake at the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary.Note: This event has been rescheduled from Jan. 13 due to the forecast for heavy snow that day.

In playful recognition of National Rubber Ducky Day, the Sanctuary will hold a Rubber Ducky Carnival from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20.

The basics

  • Time and date: Noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20
  • Location: Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, 12685 East C Ave., Augusta, MI
  • Audience: Families
  • Fee: Free with the cost of admission
  • Registration: None required

About

Visitors can try some duck-themed games for a chance to win prizes. Additionally, Sanctuary staff will be sharing some facts about ducks that overwinter in Michigan and how they stay warm.

Carnival activities are free with the price of admission, which is $6/adults, $5/seniors and students, $4/children ages 2-17. Sanctuary members, as always, enjoy free admission.
