Trail activities for families in June
The Storybook Walk title for June is “I Eat Poop: A Dung Beetle Story,” by Mark Pett. Pages from the book will be located along the accessible, ¾-mile Paved Path to read while you walk.
The June theme in the Overlook Building—an indoor space along the Paved Path—is Insects and Pollinators. Visitors can explore the worlds of nature and art through activities including dress-up as a beekeeper, bee or butterfly, and crafts. The W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary is located at 12685 East C Ave., one mile north of M-89 and just west of 40th Street.
