Unfortunately, the forecasted heat for Aug. 27 makes it unsafe to band hummingbirds, so this event has been canceled.
A pair of bird-banding experts will exhibit hummingbird banding techniques and share some of the research data gleaned from banding projects at a demonstration from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary.
