Sunday, Aug. 18 | Free Admission Day at the Sanctuary

Enjoy free admission to the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary on Sunday, Aug. 18. The Sanctuary is located at 12685 East C Ave., in Augusta.

Swans and geese gather on the shore of Wintergreen Lake at the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary.

The basics

  • Time and date: Sunday, Aug, 18; free admission from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Location: W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, 12685 East C Ave., Augusta, MI
  • Audience: Everyone
  • Fee: Free
  • Registration: None needed

About

Admission fees are waived for all visitors on Aug. 18. Take a walk around the Sanctuary’s 3/4-mile, accessible, Paved Path or take a longer hike around Wintergreen Lake on the Lake Loop Trail. Enjoy beautiful views of the lake and visit the Sanctuary’s resident water fowl and birds of prey.

In addition to the Sanctuary’s free admission day, the W.K. Kellogg Manor House will be offering tours from noon to 3 p.m. on Aug. 18, and a concert featuring the Cereal City Concert Band of Battle Creek will begin on the Manor House estate grounds at 3 p.m.
