About
The April chat, set for Wednesday, April 9, will feature Donna Keller, president of the Audubon Society of Kalamazoo (ASK), for a birds and coffee chat. She will highlight three Kalamazoo County birding hot spots (Kleinstuck Preserve, Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, and Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery), and chat about a few birds you can see during spring migration.
In The May chat, set for Wednesday, May 14, Sanctuary Manager Lisa Duke will talk about bird beaks.
The June chat will take place Wednesday, June 11. This month, Doug McLaughlin, executive director of the Kalamazoo River Watershed Council, will talk about his lifelong joy of experiencing the birds found in our Great Lakes basin waterways through the eyes of a resident, scientist, paddler, and amateur nature photographer.
Birds and Coffee chats are free and open to the public, but registration is required to access information on how to join the events.
