W.K. Kellogg Biological Station will observe the Michigan State University winter break closure, which is set for Thursday, Dec. 25, through Friday, Jan. 2, 2025. This includes the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, Kellogg Manor House and the KBS academic campus.
The W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary will be open Wednesday, Dec. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will close beginning Thursday, Dec. 25. The Sanctuary will reopen at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.
The KBS general email will be checked upon reopening, and staff will respond to any inquiries as soon as possible.
Sanctuary winter hours
Winter hours will continue at the Bird Sanctuary in early 2026:
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Friday
- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
