Expand your knowledge and appreciation of the world of birds this spring by joining this year’s Field Ornithology course.
Local bird expert and photographer Josh Haas from Hawks on the Wing and Kellogg Bird Sanctuary Manager Lisa Duke will co-lead the course. Join them to improve your bird-watching and identification skills. All skill levels are welcome.
Lectures are available via Zoom or in-person from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays; April 3, 10, 17, 24, and May 1, 2024. In-person participants also get a guided birding hike at the Sanctuary following the in-person lectures.
The field trips will take place at or around the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary from 8 to 11 a.m. on two Saturdays, April 27 and May 4, 2024.
Course fees and registration
- Full course (in-person lectures and field trips)—Sanctuary members $155, non-members $190.
- In-person lectures only —Sanctuary members, $135, non-members $155
- In-person field trips only—Sanctuary members $30, non-members $45.
- Online lectures only—Sanctuary members $30, non-members $45.
